Its a flourishing Temple that lays at the heart of the Township. It has magnificent Temple succumbing to various Hindu gods and goddesses. There is a leading shrine prominent and more lavishly ornamented than others - The Kandariya Mahadev as the chief Shiva Temple.

The Temple is in three compartments namely - The Ardha Mandapa (The Entrance porch), The Mandapa ( Assembly hall) and The Garb Grah (Sanctum Sanctorum), The Mandapas are axially aligned East to West.

The Accentuated verticality  of the whole structure is the most striking feature of this Temple with eyes drawn to Amalakha ( A Ribbed ring of stone) and kalasha ( Auspicious water pot crowning the shikhara).

Thus this adds to the breath taking monumentality of the whole structure.
